The comments from this post are dead on. Even as I try to grapple with what I would use the device for and pointing out all it’s shortcomings I need to remember that it’s barely even born yet. This device has amazing potential and I’m sure will be a hit but for me right no with an iPhone and MacBook Pro it’s hard to come up with a reason to get the device other then to buy it because it’s so damn sexy.

But it does some basic things very well. And that’s what the iPod did, made playing and obtaining music dead on simple. The iPad surfs the web well and makes reading magazine and print media simple.
